IncluCities Study Visit to Fuenlabrada

The City of Fuenlabrada and Levadia are joining forces to exchange knowledge, experience and best practices in order to build more inclusive cities. With a special focus on 'Mobilising citizens to develop tools for decent employment and entrepreneurship for migrants and refugees', Levadia has already identified some of the best practices for active participation and social inclusion that could be implemented in adjusted form in their local context. 

On 23 and 24 November, the city of Fuenlabrada together with Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias(FEMP) hosted representatives from the Greek City of Levadia and Central Union of Greek Municipalities (K.E.D.E.) to bring this collaboration a step forward.

On the agenda were many initiatives and existing actions, practices, policies from the area of integration:

  • Presentation of Fuenlabrada’s policies on Inclusion and Integration of Immigrants and Refugees.
  • Fuenlabrada Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
  • Presentation of labour inclusion projects MILMA & VULCANO. 
  • Presentation of the coexistence board and citizens participation initiatives.
